About Charlotte Kids Camps

Charlotte Kids Camps is an independent guide for Charlotte parents: camps, classes, birthday party venues, youth sports and parks in Charlotte and Mecklenburg County, with real prices and registration dates.

What makes it different

• Every price and date comes from the provider's own public page, with a link and the date we last checked it.
• We re-check every listing daily and keep a dated history, so you can see when a price or registration date changed (change log).
• We never estimate or fill in a price. If a provider doesn't publish one, we say so.

How the data is collected

A small program reads each listed page once a day, early morning Eastern time, at a slow pace and following each site's robots.txt. Before adding a site we read its terms of use and leave out sites that forbid automated access. Full details are on how we collect data.

Sources

• Camps, classes, party venues and leagues: 25 programs, each linked to its provider's page.
• Parks, playgrounds and splash pads: Mecklenburg County's public Park Locations GIS layer (394 parks, 155 with a playground or splash pad).

Independence

We're not affiliated with any camp, venue, school, league or government agency. Basic listings are free. Featured listings aren't on sale yet; when they are, they'll be clearly labeled and won't change any price or date we show.
